Kurdish Farmer’s Fate Unknown After Arrest 40 Days Ago
An informed local source told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that about 40 days ago, IRGC Intelligence Unit forces arrested Ali Alikhani, a Kurdish civilian from the village of Sheeti in the township of Maku in Western Azarbaijan Province, and transferred him to an unknown location. According to the source, after inspecting his house, intelligence forces severely beat Alikhani and arrested him. As of this writing, Alikhani’s whereabouts remain unknown. Alikhani, a farmer and rancher, is allegedly accused of collaborating with a Kurdish political party.
