Cartoon 135: Prisoner Swap

On January 16, 2016, the Islamic Republic of Iran released four prisoners with dual Iranian and American citizenships, in return for the release of several Iranians held in US prisons mostly on crimes related to violations of economic sanctions against Iran. The Iranian-Americans prisoners released were Jason Rezaian, Saeed Abedini, Amir Mirzaei Hekmati, and Nosratollah Khosravi. This is Touka Neyestani’s take on the issue. (Read more here.)
