LBGTQ in Iran

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people in Iran face extreme rights violations, deadly violence perpetrated by both the state and society, and legal and social discrimination in all walks of life. Same-sex relations are punishable by flogging and death, and legalized persecution incites widespread violence against the LGBTQ community. Yet LGBTQ individuals cannot go to the police or the courts without risking prosecution themselves. This fact sheet highlights the abuses perpetrated against the LGBTQ community in Iran.

Labor in Iran
