Iranians Push Back as Officials Threaten to Block Instagram in Retaliation for Banned IRGC Accounts

In April 2019, Instagram began taking down accounts under the names of current and former members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stating it was do so in accordance with US sanctions law. Iranian officials responded by threatening to block access to Instagram. Once again, Iranians found themselves caught in the middle, and some took to Twitter to express their frustrations.
