This study was researched and written by Dr. Dariush Zahedi for the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran. Dr. Zahedi is a lecturer at the University of California at Berkeley, where he has taught a range of political and economic courses on the Middle East for the Departments of Political Science, Political Economy, and Peace and Conflict Studies, as well as for the Boalt Hall School of Law. The study was published by the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran: ICHRI’s research division conducted additional interviews, Karen Kramer and Hadi Ghaemi edited the study, and Eva Fortes provided production assistance. The design and layout of the study were donated pro-bono by an Iranian designer.
