Listen to Iranian Political Prisoner Narges Mohammadi Sing a Love Song For Her Children

Narges Mohammad hasn’t seen her children since she was imprisoned in Iran for her human rights activism more than three years ago. In this video she sings a love song for them during a brief furlough at her now empty home. “During this time, there are things I have missed,” she writes in a letter from prison. “My children have grown up. They have changed. They only talk about their father. Their mother has no place in their daily lives; when they go to sleep, when they wake up, go to school, shopping, or cooking. I’m not even in their dreams; I have ceased to exist for them.”
