Behnam Daraeizadeh, Senior Farsi Editor

Behnam Daraeizadeh is an Iranian-Canadian journalist, human rights researcher, and senior Farsi editor at the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI).

Holding a Master’s Degree in International Human Rights Law, he previously practiced as a human rights lawyer in Iran, focusing on the rights of political prisoners, particularly students and activists.

Since 2009, Behnam has focused his work on journalism and human rights advocacy, with a particular emphasis on economic and social rights, the death penalty, and LGBTQ rights in Iran.
